Based out of Los Angeles, the bartenders, Shawn Lickliter and Vay Su, have garnered a reputation for excellence in the industry, with multiple accolades under their belt. They have won cocktail competitions such as the Whistle Pig Cocktail Competition, Makers Mark Bartender Cup, World Baiju Cocktail competition, and the prestigious "Bartender of the Year" competition by Heaven Hill. Furthermore, their bar program at Republique was recognized as one of the top 10 cocktail programs in the nation in 2022 by Tales of the Cocktail Foundation and the bar at Manzke received the coveted "2022 Michelin Guide Exceptional Cocktails Award” in the same year. Their achievements have been widely covered by various media outlets, including the front page of Los Angeles Times Food and Drink, Tasting Panel Magazine, Eater, Imbibe Magazine, Michelin Guide, Forbes.com. Drawing inspiration from the diverse neighborhoods spanning the San Gabriel Valley, K-Town, Filipino Town, Little Tokyo, and the South Bay, our cocktails showcase a fusion of flavors and influences unique to each locale. Additionally, our explorations throughout Asia, including Japan, Taiwan, China, Vietnam, and Thailand, have enriched our repertoire with a myriad of distinctive flavors and ingredients not commonly found in Los Angeles.
